Beat it was written by Michael Jackson and co-produced by Quincy Jones for michael's sixth album, Thriller which was released in 1982

Beatit was released as a single on February 14th 1983 and fast became of the the most successful best selling singles of all time. His previously released single 'Billie Jean' occupied the Top 5 positions with 'Beat it' at the same time, something which very few artists have ever been able to achieve

Beat It was certified as a platinum album in 1989. Beat It was the beginning of what was to be the success of the Thriller Album, which is now one of the greatest albums ever to be released by any artist.
